RULES

  • Be nice and have fun
    • A game is more fun if everyone in the game is having fun!
    • Treat others as you wish the DM to treat you
  • Be involved
    • Try to keep the game moving
    • Please pay attention during the game
  • Be helpful
    • I am a new DM, please be helpful to myself and other players
    • Not everyone can remember everything
      • I have a lot I need to remember in my real life, I may forget something in a game
      • Others are the same
    • People learn their characters through play, not looking at a sheet
  • Rule of cool
    • Sometimes the Hero walks away from the explosion
  • FAFO
    • Do stupid things, win stupid prizes
    • Treat the NPC’s with respect:
      • You never know when one is a legendary
      • They get the same rolls you do, do you really want to test your luck?
    • My living world will have a wanted list, jail and banned list
      • If you cause more harm than good, why would they let you come back?
  • NSFW
    • There will be violence
    • There will be blood
    • There will be death
    • There will be dismemberment
    • There will be profanity
    • The DM is okay with light flirting, bards need a hobby after all
    • Keep sexual RP to a minimum
  • PVP
    • PVP is off for my sessions, unless it is an Arena or tournament session.
  • Perma-(death/effect)
    • In my games, at least for now, perma-death and persistent-effects are off, unless the character requests otherwise
  • Triggers
    • Let me know in advance of the game if you have any triggers. For example, if you have an issue with spiders then let me know in advance please. This may prevent you from joining the session depending on the trigger, though I will do my best to accommodate.

      • Full action unless item says otherwise
  • Interactions
    • Normally a full action, such as pulling a lever
      • Rolls may change that. Example: Matching the DC may take a bit longer.
      • Plead your case, I am willing to listen as to why that action should be a free or bonus action
  • Items
    • If you have it, and your tier can use it, you can use it. Why buy a neat toy if you are just going to leave it at home?
  • Inspiration
    • Magic Inspiration
      • At the start of each game, each character will be given a Magic Inspiration
      • This ‘melts’ at the end of the session
    • Normal Inspiration
      • You can gain additional inspiration by
        • Being helpful
        • Doing cool things
        • Being descriptive in your role playing
        • Coming up with inventive ideas
    • You can spend inspiration by
      • 1 point: +5/-5 to any roll (this includes damage) (this includes NPC and other players (if they consent))
      • 3 points: Force a reroll (this includes NPC and other players). If you force a reroll you must take the value rolled
      • 4 points: Force advantage/disadvantage
      • 5 points: Force success/failure, because Hero’s do not care what Fate has to say
